Selling Real Estate in Grand County Since 2003

Stacy Strayer

Moving to Grand County twenty-plus years ago has transformed my life. I’m in constant-awe of my surroundings, e.g. the mountains, its valleys and the wide open skyscapes –  I daily express gratitude for living here.  Next time you’re near Granby Ranch (2 min down the road from my neighborhood, Innsbruck-Val Moritz, which is about 20 + minutes from Winter Park), I’d love to share one of my favorite hikes with you, to the top of the west mountain, up through the aspen grove which overlooks the Continental Divide, the Granby Ranch slopes and Lake Granby in the distance, and back down to the parking lot across from the Gazebo – it takes about just about an hour at a leisurely pace.  When you live anywhere close to Granby Ranch, you’ll likely find yourself on these trails several days a week.

What I love about real estate is connecting with people and the excitement of it all, searching for and ultimately finding the perfect vacation property or primary home, OR helping my clients sell their property so they can close one chapter in their lives and move seamlessly to the next. Many times people will start out small to test the waters, only to find that after a year or so, they’re ready to upgrade to spend even more time in the mountains!

On a personal note, I hail from Pennsylvania but I have been living in Colorado since 1995 – first in Boulder & Longmont, and then to Grand County in 1998.  I’m an alumna of CU-Boulder, a former high school English teacher, an animal lover, a freelance writer, and an avid cross-country skier, hiker & golfer.  I’m married to the one great love in my life (Mark Strayer, President of Sawtooth Mountain Builders) and we have two yellow labs, Boondocks & Brie.

James Silk

Moving to Granby in 2016, I have been a local of 8 years, experiencing everything our small town has to offer while building connections and friendships in our communities

Working odd jobs and seasonal gigs for both the town and with the resort, I have developed a better perspective on our town’s growth through the eyes of locals and those involved with the town.

During my years of involvement in the community, I have built lasting relationships with co-workers, employers and employees. All of whom share the same passion for the outdoors and the same commitment to making this valley feel like home!

With a strong background in residential and commercial roofing, I feel comfortable on active job sites. In addition, showing new builds and discussing important issues with builders and developers is something I picked up during my tenure in Project Management.

As a fellow outdoor enthusiast, I can’t wait to make your mountain dream come true. Whether its fly fishing gold medal water here in Granby, or crushing moguls on Mary Jane, playing golf at one of our 4 major courses, or horseback riding and paddle boarding in Grand Lake, I can’t wait to see you out there!
